Certificates Offered: OPE Certifications in OPE Electrical Systems and/or OPE Mobil Generators
This Small Engine Repair Technology workshop includes classroom and shop experiences directed at maintaining and repairing a variety of electrical systems used on outdoor power equipment including mobil generators. The instructional units emphasize the complete understanding of electrical and electronic theory related to servicing OPE electrical systems including mobil generators. Topics include: magnetism, electromagnetism, induction, batteries, semiconductors, electrical wiring circuits, motors, D.C. generators, alternators and control systems. Also emphasized is the complete troubleshooting and repair of various generator and electrical systems found and the engines related to their use. This program is designed to prepare qualified students to take the OPE Technician Certification Test in the areas of OPE Electrical Systems and/or OPE Mobil Generators. Students will gain the necessary knowledge and "Hands on Skills" to service OPE Electrical Systems and OPE Mobil Generator systems successfully.
